11:30am Our first lamb of 2009 arrived. A white single ram lamb to Mia and Lightning. He had small horn buds and was a whopping 9.5lbs! Mia needed a little help getting the horn buds out... but otherwise she did great! He has long sturdy legs, and the fleece like his sires, big curls. He will carry moorit & solid pattern, and possibly spotting. This guy is 45%AI Visir, Biskup, Prestur, Rektor & Bambi. We look for him to be a fast-growing lamb, with good parasite resistance and an awesome Visir build! He is available, if you'd like to reserve this ram lamb give me a call or drop me an email!

9pm Tawny just delivered twin ewe lambs unassisted! She's an amazing mom, cleaning off the first as she's delivering the second lamb. The white ewe weighed 4.5 lbs. and the black grey (homozygous - two genes for grey, I think) weighed 6 lbs. These girls are out of Visirson and are 45% AI Visir, Sponn, Laekur, Hunn & Dropi. They should have nice stocky builds and beautiful fleece. They both carry moorit, and the white one could carry grey or solid. The black grey is staying on the farm, and the white ewe is available.

7am went out this morning to find Muffin cleaning off these two little black spotted ram lambs! One weighed 5lbs and has the black hood with a white blaze, like Muffin, the other weighed only 3.5lbs and has a black hood but it extends further onto his back. These guys are out of Charlie and are 33%AI including Mjaldur, Rektor & Morro. We look for them to become nice stout rams with beautiful fleece. They both carry moorit. The hooded ram lamb is reserved, the other is available.
10:30am Went out to check on Muffin's twins and found Estelle cleaning off a black grey lamb, while a white lamb hopped around in the Aframe with her! Twin ewes! Unfortunately, the one she was cleaning off didn't make it...as hard as we tried. The white ewe weighed 7.5# and is doing great! These girls are out of Lightning, so we should have a nice ewe lamb with build, length, fleece & hopefully parasite resistance/resilience. This ewe lamb is staying on the farm.

3:45pm After a bit of a break in lambing, Keeley decided to get things going again with the birth of a white ewe lamb out of Visirson. You think you've seen one white lamb, you've seen them all, but as you can see in her picture that's not so! She has lots of phaeomelanin (brown pigmentation) all over. This girl looked bigger but the scale says 7.5 lbs, and she came with one leg back and her head sideways! So it's amazing that she's doing wonderful...up jumping around already! We will probably be keeping her, so she's not available at this time.
